Torque Lab is not a doctor, medical provider, physical therapist, chiropractor, athletic trainer, or emergency service. Nothing in the Service is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Use of the Service does not create a professional-patient relationship.
1. Consult a clinician before you start
Always consult a licensed physician or other qualified medical professional before beginning, resuming, or changing any exercise program—especially if you have (or suspect) heart disease, high blood pressure, metabolic disease, pregnancy, recent surgery, joint replacements, unexplained pain, dizziness, a history of injury, or any other medical condition, or if you take medications that affect heart rate, blood pressure, or balance.
Get individualized clearance. Do not rely on Torque Lab, the Operator, or any AI-generated plan as a substitute for that clearance.
2. Stop on sharp pain and other warning signs
Stop the session immediately and seek appropriate care if you experience:
- Sharp, stabbing, or sudden pain
- Joint catching, locking, giving-way, or instability
- Numbness, tingling, or radiating neurological symptoms
- Chest pain, pressure, or pain into the jaw/arm
- Unexplained shortness of breath, fainting, or severe dizziness
- Sudden swelling, or pain that worsens after you stop
Muscle burn and effort are not the same as sharp pain. When unsure, stop and consult a professional. Continuing despite warning signs is your decision and your risk.
3. Injuries are athlete-reported only
Any injuries, surgeries, pain sites, or limitations you enter are provided by you. The Operator does not examine you, image you, or verify your history. If you omit, understate, or forget a limitation, the Service may still suggest movements that are inappropriate. Keeping that information current is your responsibility.
4. AI plans can be wrong
Suggested exercises, loads (including pounds), durations, distances, and progressions can be unsuitable even when they appear tailored. Equipment, fatigue, sleep, stress, and technique change daily. You must regress, skip, or stop any movement you cannot perform with control.
5. Emergency
If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number (for example, 911 in the United States) or go to an emergency department. Do not use in-app notes or email for emergencies.
6. No liability; no indemnification by Torque Lab
By using the Service you acknowledge the inherent risks of exercise and agree that the Operator is not responsible for injury, illness, or death related to your training. Torque Lab does not indemnify you for medical costs or any other damages. The waiver, assumption of risk, limitation of liability, and your indemnification of the Operator in the Terms of Use apply fully to this Disclaimer.
7. Acknowledgement
Finishing your profile, checking the acceptance box, generating a plan, or logging a session constitutes your acknowledgement that you have read this Disclaimer, have had the opportunity to consult a medical professional, and accept all risk of injury.
